Threads, Skepticism, and Gratitude
What are the constants in your life? What is it that grounds you to yesterday, yet allows you to soar tomorrow? Most of us have common threads that run through our lives from childhood through adulthood. Our threads tie us to our past, yet also provide a fabric for our future growth. It's in our grounding that our traditions lie. Our traditions are born of our experiences, yet sometimes our traditions are founded on falsehoods that are difficult to refute. Sometimes, our most deeply held beliefs are the ones we most need to challenge. That's why a healthy dose of skepticism is often in order. Finally, all of our experiences combine to make us who we are today. Whether positive or negative, all of our experiences are opportunities to learn and grow. When we can express gratitude for everything in our lifes, we can readjust our thinking to make ourselves more healthy and happy. In this talk, Don shares his own threads and helps his audience identify their own common life threads, challenges his audience to apply a healthy dose of skepticism in our lives, and shows his audience how to use gratitude to live healthier, happier lives.
